Make a day of it, parking is free and the carvery lunch in Clontarf Castle is really excellent. Our tip: Order the half portion, great value and more than enough for most people (the roast beef is particularly popular!).

Clontarf Castle is on Castle Avenue, connecting the Howth Road and Clontarf Road. Coming from the city centre (10-minute drive), just follow the road signs for Howth, the fair will be signposted from Fairview and from Collins Avenue. Plenty of parking. Public transport: Bus no. 130 from Middle Abbey Street stops right outside and runs every 20 minutes.
