Trim Castle Hotel
For the first fair of the New Year we are heading to one of our favourite places, the pretty and historic town of Trim is so close to Dublin but a world apart, just over twenty minutes of pleasant driving through beautiful countryside from the M50. The fair will feature art, antiques, vintage fashion and accessories, rare books and more, with 25 traders exhibiting in a light filled exhibition space overlooking the historic castle. Join us for the day, and explore the ruins along the river path from Trim to the outlying countryside, or take a tour of King John’s Castle, one of the most important Norman sites in the country.
Trim Castle Hotel is a superb 4 star hotel, with top class facilities, and the perfect destination for Sunday lunch. There are three restaurants, all serving different fare: traditional Sunday carvery in the Baily bar, light meals and snack and delicious pastries in the Barista Cafe, and fine dining in the award-winning Jules restaurant. Parking is free in the hotel carpark all day Sunday, so come early and spend the day bargain hunting at the fair, and exploring the pretty town of Trim, with its pleasant river walks through an ancient landscape, revealing views of historic ruins at every turn. Make sure to include a visit to historic King John’s Castle, Ireland’s largest and most complete Norman castle, guided tours from 10am to 6pm – more details on this link: http://bit.ly/14Uqrsf
Trim Castle Hotel
Wonderful views of Trim heritage town and the historic castle from the exhibition room create a great ambiance for an antiques fair. Just 40 minutes from Dublin via the N3, 15 minutes from the M50 (exit N3/M3), Trim is a picturesque town set in rolling country side, where ruined castles and towers are glimpsed from every approach. The impressive John’s Castle, just across the road from the hotel, is one of the most intact Norman castles in Ireland – well worth a visit, it is open to visitors on Sundays until 6pm.
